The members of Delta Rescue Mission, Lagos Chapter are happy
with Dr. Otive Igbuzor on his appointment into the newly constituted Board of
Oando Foundation. Your appointment into the
Board of Oando Foundation is a confirmation of your outstanding and sterling
leadership qualities you have exhibited over the years in this country in the
midst of dishonest characters who parade themselves as leaders. Leadership is
simply service to humanity and not irrational display of power! Over the years,
you have been rendering services to humanity that is why you are like a piece
of diamond ornament in the dark which cannot be hidden. A diamond ornament
illuminates its environment and this is what you have been doing for your
fellow compatriots for over a decade. This is why you have become the most
sought Nigerian and honours are being bestowed on you from every nooks and
crannies of Nigeria.
In January this year, you were elected the President of
Nigerian Institute for Strategic Management (NISM), not too long ago, precisely
on March 24, 2013, the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) inducted you as
Fellow of the enviable society. It was not up to a month after your induction
as Fellow, you have been appointed into the Board of Trustee of Oando
Foundation. Above all, you are also the President of Ejiro & Otive Igbuzor
Foundation; a non-governmental organization through which you and your amiable
wife have put smiles on the faces of many Nigerians as it offers scholarship to
brilliant-indigent students; empowerment of women and community development.
As the Country Director of ActionAid International, the
worldwide organization working with people, communities, partners and
associates in 53 countries to eradicate poverty, your high sense of commitment
to duty and service, promoted the NGO and prompted ThisDay Newspaper to
nominate ActionAid as the Non-Governmental Organization of the Year 2005. At
present, you are the Executive Director, African Centre for Leadership,
Strategic & Developmet.
Time and space will not allow us to enumerate all your
wondrous service to humanity but God who sees all that man does, will
undoubtedly reward your good works in due season. Thank you for your good work
and keep it up.
