Pope Benedict XVI has signified his intention to step down as
Pope of the Catholic Church, come February 28, 2012. The Pope wishes

Nigeria’s Cardinal Francis Arinze, Canada’s Marc Ouelle and Italy’s Angelo

The Pope said he would continue to serve the Catholic Church “through a life
dedicated to prayer”. He will however revert to his former title of Cardinal
Joseph Ratzinger upon his resignation Catholic Church in England said.
