Presidential Media Chat

President Goodluck Jonathan had a media on Sunday, where he stated categorically that he did not sign a single term agreement with anybody or group of persons. He said those who are misleading Nigerians about the claim should show the document he signed with them to Nigerians. He said he only a seven year single term which the National Assembly turned down. On ASUU strike, he said the Federal Government had yielded to almost all the demands of ASUU more than any previous government has done yet the academic union refused to call off the strike. According to Mr. President, allowances of academic staffs were supposed to be paid with funds generated internally within the various universities. He said the ASUU strike has been politicized but however appealed to ASUU to call off the strike for the sake of the students. On power, he said Nigerians would begin to enjoy more hours of electricity supply very soon. On Boko Haram insurgency, he made it clear that the army is winning the war against the militants.On whether the leader of the extremists, Abubakar Shekau, was still alive or not, he said he could not confirm if he was dead or not.
