Various civil society groups under the umbrella of Good Governance Campaign, congregated in the morning today, at the popular Toll Gate Bus Stop, opposite Motorways, Ikeja and demanded to know the health status of President Muhammadu Buhari. Members of the different civil society groups who spoke through their members, including Comrade Ayo Baje, President Guild of Public Affairs Analysts of Nigeria, said they were worried about the health of Mr. Buhari considering the fact that he spent 104 days in a London hospital last year due to ill health.

They also expressed their concern about Buhari's inability to answer the simple questions which the moderator of the first edition of town hall meeting, Kadaria Ahmed asked him and his deputy, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo. Members of the Good Governance Campaign also made reference to how Buhari fell during APC rally in Kogi State, slumped in Kaduna State, and repeatedly called the governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress in Delta State, Chief Great Ogboru, "Presidential candidate, Senatorial candidate and Governortorial candidate" of the All Progressive Congress even though he was corrected several times.
They seized the opportunity to remind President Buhari who would be seeking re-election in the next election that the office of the president needs a healthy and energetic person.

According to members of the Good Governance Campaign, these unpardonable mistakes would have been avoided if Mr, President was indeed healthy. They called on the two Chambers of the National Assembly to constitute a medical panel to ascertain the true health status of Buhari in accordance with section 144 of the 1999 Nigerian Constitution.Leaders of the various civil society groups who endorsed the rally included Comrade Abdul Usman Bako, President, Campaign for Democracy, Comrade Ada Agina-Ude, Executive
Director, Gender and Development Action, Comrade Ayo Baje, President, Guild of Public Affairs Analysts of Nigeria, Barrister Liborous Oshoma, Human Rights Lawyer, Evangelist Kunle Adesokan, Convener, Yoruba Self Determination Advancement Forum, Comrade Olufemi Lawson, Executive Director, Centre for Public Accountability, Comrade Ayo Ologun, Executive Director, Media Rights Campaign and Comrade Jude Ochiaga, President, Igbo Development Initiative.
